I only have two MAC shadows in my make up bag among my many many singular shades and adore using them. The frost finishes are beautiful as an all over lid colour. This palette does have a mixture of frost, matte, lustre, satin, veluxe, veluxe pearl and velvet textures. So if you are new to the brand (like me) you've got a great variety to have a play with and find out which suits your needs more.
MAC do have a cool version similar to this palette which I will leave a link to if anyone is interested in the different shades available. When I looked at them though, the cool palette had a lot more matte shades. I like a bit of shimmer on my lids, which is why I did end up buying the more varied warm palette, and also I have rather pale skin anyway. Sometimes cooler shades do make me look a bit sickly. But the cool palette is great for anyone who has a warmer complexion, or even to wear in the summer once you have built a tan.
And since there are so many possibilities with 15 shades in one palette. I have photographed 4 of my favourite combinations for a day to day look. I will list which shades were used in each look below the photos.
Thanks for reading guys!
