You will be glad to know that this is not another Bare Minerals product review! I want to start using some of my drugstore products again, and these were the most recent thing that I bought. I have used a lot of Max Factor products in the past, and I do love the quality of the products; they always leave your skin with a professionally done make up feel. And I usually stock up on my Max Factor stuff when Boots do the Christmas gift offer and you get some of their more popular products as freebies. Got to love those freebies! I did not get these in the Christmas gift offer, but they were in the 3 for 2 spree that Boots love to test my resolutions with!
The Excess Intensity liners are the newest eyeliner that Max Factor launched, and are very different to the liquid and kohl liners in the range. There are six shades and retail for £6.99 at Boots. They look like a lip pencil when you open the lid, and twist to release more of the pencil when you need it. It is advertised as a longwear eyeliner that can last up to 12 hours on your face before fading.
The colours do look really natural, and compliment all eye colours. I only have the brown and black liners in my collection but I really do like the aqua and olive green colours too (NO! Will not buy unless my life depended on it). They can be built up if you want a more vivid look, but are more ideal as a soft, daywear liner.
They do last a long time on the lid. I wouldn't say they last the 12 hours promised but they do have a longwear formula which does stop them budging during the day.
