As you can probably tell from the majority of my July posts, I've been trying out lots of new eye products. In true Jennifer fashion, here are my random ramblings about all my favourite things this month!
Bare Minerals 5 in 1 BB Cream Eyeshadows
All the cream shadows are matte, unlike the original Prime Time collection which were more shimmery. And unlike a lot of cream shadows, these do not transfer or cause creasing on the eye. Once it's blended it, it will stay.
I love the colour Delicate Moss; it's just such a pretty green colour.
These are brand new, so why not head to a Bare Minerals counter and check them out.
TV Series: The 100
I'm not the biggest fan of Science Fiction series (sorry Trekkies) but this to me does not have the feel of a true to the genre Science Fiction series.
It's about 100 teenage prisoners that are sent to Earth to check if it is safe for humans to live on again. They soon find out that not everything is as it seems. It has been described as Lost, but so far I can't see the resemblance. I'm only three episodes in and can't wait until next Monday to watch episode 4. I may need to read the books now. Or should I wait until series 1 has finished?
Nails Inc Festival Nail Polish in Sloan Street
Last week I went into Newcastle and had my nails done at the nails inc counter. I bought the polish she used on them too, and I love the colour. On the nails it is a bright pink, and will look matte without a clear gloss over the top. It dries super quick too!
Smashbox Heatwave Eyeshadow Palette
I just I'd never dropped it and cracked some of the palettes.
Bare Minerals Joyous Jennifer Blusher
This is a really pretty dark pink colour with a lot of shimmer... in the pot. It doesn't lot too sheer on the cheeks, and creates a natural highlight when it's applied. The colour looks really natural, but can be built up if you want a darker cheek look.
Benefit Lip Colour in Dare Me
The lipstick just feels so creamy and helps moisturise your lips, which is handy for dry skin.
Although the gloss from the beginning may not last, the colour will. Just touch up the glossy look with a clear lip gloss.
Sacconejoly Youtube Channel
The Sacconejoly family youtube channel is just a nice 20 minutes of watching a family going about their daily business.
Infact they are on in the background as I write this.
It's not the funniest thing or the most original, but I just love this channel. Definately give them a watch.
L'Oreal Superliner Luminiser for Blue Eyes
It's a pretty midnight blue colour, and I have been wearing this instead of a gel liner at the moment. I can get really close to the lashes and make a very neat line.
This is a great liner if you are not great with liners, like me. They are just so easy to use.
The Troy Game Series by Sara Douglass
I am currently re-reading them, and I still love them. I love re-reading books because I try to pick up clues for the twists from page 1; and honestly, The Troy Game series has so many! However, if you re-read them with the final book in mind, the twists really are not hidden that well.
Basically it's a series where several characters are constantly reincarnated to solve a big mess that happened in their first lives. You've got everything in it and if you're a bit of a history boffin you'll love how these famous characters are portrayed in this series; Edward the Confessor for one is a huge surprise! It's not all historical though. There's a huge mixture of fantasy and mythology smashed in there too.
I have perhaps over-generalised the entire series, but that is probably the easiest way without giving too much away. Definately give them a read if you love a good historical fantasy book.
Bare Minerals Swoon Blusher
This blusher was in that collection and it has been my go-to blusher for the day time throughout July. It is just such a pretty peachy-pink shade that works so well on fair skin. It doesn't have any shimmer to it, so if you're not a fan of highlights or sparkly cheeks, I'd definitely recommend this if you can get a hold of it anywhere. And if you do- let me know because I really want to repurchase this once it runs out!
Ella Henderson's Ghost
I don't describe music very well, so let's just leave it at that.
Bare Minerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener
This is a perfect under eye concealer and brightener that doesn't dry out your under eye area at all. I tend to wear this underneath my foundation with a hint of Summer Bisque concealer over the top to set it in place. It gives me a nice woken up look even if I am feeling tired.
I will probably be doing a huge Bare Minerals post soon because I will be going to an event at the end of the month which I'm really excited about. Not sure what to expect as I've never gone to anything like this before, but I will be reporting back.
Bye for now guys!
