Now I am an eyeshadow junkie. I honestly have more eyeshadow palettes than I have eyes. Like most people I have only two, and am limited to the amount I can wear on my eyes at one time. However, I was in Debenhams today, and could not resist this twelve eyeshadow palette. It is one of Bare Minerals Christmas Collection gift sets (there was some other gorgeous collections, but I'm limiting myself to just this one). It retails at £35, which is definitely worth the money considering the Ready Quads are £29. Awesome value!
Yet the thing that intrigued me the most about this is the funky design. Like Bobbi Brown and MACs customisable palettes, these shadows click out and can be switched around depending on your own tastes. Unlike the latter palettes though, the middle of this palette slides away to become a smaller travel sized palette, which can hold three shades; perfect for your handbag. The mirror is a decent size for this sort of palette; it takes up the entire space in the smaller compartment.
Since the shades do pop out, the palette does rattle a bit, but that's just a small criticism.
There is a mix of colour and neutrals; and even the coloured shades aren't crazy colours that would suit just one eyecolour. I would say the shades are more suited to Autumn and Winter styles, however the more neutral shades could be worn all year round.
Like all Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadows, these are highly pigmented, easy to blend and have little fallout.
