Since so many big events happen this time of year, I wanted to do a look book for different occasions over the Autumn and Winter months. Here are four different looks that I came up with using different products in my makeup bag.
For a base, I used Bare Minerals Bare Skin Foundation in the shade Bare Shell and Mineral Veil.
Look 1
For a contour I used the Lancome Blush Subtil Rose Flush palette lightly in the hollows of my cheeks.
For blush I used a mini blush for Bare Minerals in the shade Rarest Rose. This is available in the Cool Bare Guide to Colour collection.
Eyes
On my brows I used the Benefit Gimme Brow mascara.
I swept Lancome's Hypnose Star Eyes eyeshadow in the shade Quartz Taupe over my lid and blended out the edges with a fluffy brush. In the crease I used a small amount of Darkside from the Naked 3 palette. Quartz Taupe was also used on my lower lash line.
As a brow and inner eye highlight I used a Bare Minerals loose shadow in the shade Soul.
For the feline flick eyeliner I used a L'Oreal Superliner Slim Intense pen.
Since this is a very intense eye look, I used the Urban Decay Perversion mascara, priming them first with the Subversion mascara.
Lips
Lips were kept very simple and matte. I used the No. 7 Stay Perfect lipstick in the shade Raspberry Silk.
Look 2
This one is very bare faced. I just used a hint of Nars Deep Throat blush on the cheeks. That is it! We're going very pale skin with this look.
Eyes
For brows I have used my Smashbox Brow Kit in Blonde.
With the eyes, I am going very light but glam plum. I have swept the pink shade Fantasy from the Bare Minerals Convertible Eyeshadow Palette all over the lid. Don't worry it's pale enough to not make you look like you have a giant sore eye. Then simply sweep MAC's Cranberry over the lid. Blend with a fluffy brush.
Use a soft black or dark brown pencil along the lash line (top and a third of the way along the bottom lashes. I used Urban Decay's 24/7 Eyeliner in the shade Demolition.
For mascara, Use lashings of the Lash Domination mascara!
Lips
Now this is why I wanted to keep my skin fairly bare with this look. It's all in the lips. Using a lip brush use a orange toned red on the lip. Make sure this looks really intense. Then in the centre of the lip use a hint of an orange lipstick. I used Soft Paprika by No. 7 and Estee Lauder's Defiant Coral.
Since you are staying fairly neutral on the face and eyes this will make those gorgeous lips stand out!
Look 3
So for this one, we are playing with contours. To create definition I used a touch of Bare Minerals Warmth in the hollows of my cheeks.
As for blusher I used Sleek's blusher in Rose Gold- a gorgeous shade for Winter!
Eyes
Again, the eyes are staying fairly neutral in this look, but still with that hint of sparkle.
I have used a Maybelline Colour tattoo in the shade On and On Bronze from the centre of the lid outwards. In the inner corner I have used a touch of Bare Minerals Brightening Eye primer. Over these two shades I have used Satin Taupe and blended this upwards and through my crease to create a gradual change of colour. You won't need a crease shade at all as the miz in these colours does it for you.
For eyeliner, I used a thin line of L'Oreal's gel liner along the lash line, just for a hint of definition.
Lips
This is a very neutral everyday look, so lips will be quite nude with just a touch of colour. I used a Tanya Burr lipgloss in Aurora.
Look 4
For this look, I used the contour shade in the Lancome Rouge Blush Subtil kit to lightly contour under my cheeks.
For blush I used the new cream blush from Benefit called Majorette. I just blend this in with my fingers.
For powder, I used the L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Powder.
Eyes
To prime the lids in used MACs Painterly. I then used the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Duo in the shades Raisins. I swept the lighter Rose Gold shade all over the lid and blended the darker shade into the crease and outer lid. On the brow bone I blended Hard to Get from the Bare Minerals Customisable palette. I brought the Raisins colours along my bottom lash line too.
I used a No. 7 Stay Perfect Metalic Eye Pencil in an Aubergine shade along my lash line.
For mascara, I once again used the Urban Decay Perversion mascara. It just gives such amazing long black lashes.
Lips
Finally, on my lips I used this gorgeous Kate Moss lipstick in the shade Kiss of Life.
Also let me know if you try out any of these looks.
Bye for now!
