Although a lot of this is in the really expensive side of the high end makeup ranges, these are special items that I do save for special occasions, or even for days where I need to feel a bit more glamorous. And yes, compared to the Bare Minerals list, this is a small part of my makeup box.
So, come join me in my plunge back through my makeup bag!
The Foundation
I used to use the Lancome Photogenic Lumessence foundation on a daily basis, but found after lengthy wear this can cause breakouts due to it's heavy duty coverage. However, for occasional use it's amazing and helps give for skin a healthy glowy look.
Some Lipsticks
YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks are perfect for a hint of glamour. These are one of the few things that make it out of this bag on a regular basis.
Both of these are the most beautiful fuschia pinks that are amazing for Summer parties.
A Little Cheeky Action
The blusher truly is something special. It is a gorgeous, shimmery pink that I can't get away with on a daily basis. It is perfect for a Summer wedding or even a birthday.
Some more lipsticks!
And what really sold this lipstick to me was the long lasting formula. I was drinking Pimms, tea and eating a lot of cakes all day; this did not budge at all! It still looked freshly applied, which I have never known in a lipstick ever! I may need to repurchase some of these if I get a bit extra money since they were £19 each.
Conceal It
Like the foundation in this brand, this is gorgeous and long lasting, and gives a nice dewy glow.
I tend to wear this under my foundation just to help counteract any redness.
The Drugstore Specialness
The reason is the colours. Would you wear these on a daily basis? They are just pure glitter!
These are gorgeous for Christmas parties, or any Winter event.
J'Adore a Bit of Dior
This trio is just gorgeous for that extra special event where a regular neutral eye colour just won't hack it. The pinky shimmer is great for all over the eye, and the glittery one is great for blending the colour outwards and making your eyes pop.
The black shade is great for smoking out your eyeliner. I used this over my cat eye gel liner flick, just to make it look less crisp.
I have a slight Perversion
This was a recent impulse buy, and I am so glad I bought it! If you have small lashes that just refuse to look glamorous and long, this is the mascara for you.
I'm sure it has lengthened my lashes by a few inches. I have managed to stop it clumping my lashes together, so it still looks natural and helps your eyes look just that bit more dramatic.
I do sometimes wear this on a daily basis if I am wearing more colour on my eyes.
Bring on the Green!
The Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks are amazing, long lasting creamy eye colours.
They are advertised as being good to create a smokey eye. However, I have just been sweeping this all over the lid and blending out with my finger. I just find it too shimmery tow ear with any other colour. But it is such a pretty bright green, which is amazing for a Saturday night out with the girls. Actually, this looks amazing with the Bobbi Brown lipstick.
The Interview Item
I bought this to wear for my first proper job interview down in London. The pink shimmer is just a gorgeous neutral shimmer, which blends beautifully with the silvery colour. They are perfect for a professional look without looking overly made up.
This is one of my favourites, and it would suit anyone's skin tone.
This is it for now.
Bye!
