I love making things. Last Christmas I got a jewellery making kit and I am addicted to making jewellery. One thing that I do make, and do get asked to make for other people are bracelets. They are just so easy to do and quick to correct if you make a mistake.
One time I did make a bracelet that ended up being a bit too long and created the braided bracelet. I probably didn't invent this, but it wasn't in any of the jewellery books, so I'm claiming it for now.
If you are in a crafty mood or want to make your own jewellery, here's how I make a pretty beaded braid bracelet.
- Crafting wire
- Wire cutters
- Flat and Round nose pliers
- Small beads
- 2-4 jump rings
- Approx 8 crimps
- 1 trigger clasp
But when you crimp, leave a small loop at the edge ready to thread another jump ring once the braiding is done. The round nose pliers make this really easy since they create the perfect neat loop.
By the way, I had an epic fail with the lengths of my wires so here is a slightly better one I made earlier.
Enjoy your new bracelet. They are so quick to make. If you would like to see more crafty blogs, please let me know.
I will see you next time.
Bye for now!
