They do retail at £21 each, and will last ages.
The only three I've tried are the original, BB and neutralising, just because I thought these were the ones I'd benefit out of the most day to day.
So what do I think of these three primers in the collection? They each have their own uses in my routine, so let's get started.
Original Primer
I know I've squeezed quite a fair amount onto my hand but you don't need that much to cover your whole face in an even thin layer. It has no tint to it so it won't warp a foundation colour and it makes your face feel really smooth.
I tend to not use this as a primer for my whole face. This only gets used as a corrector if my eyeshadow has gone wrong. I just use a tiny bit on the concealer brush and blend away until both sides look the same.
As a primer it's great for beginners or for people with pretty much flawless skin. I found it did little to hide (perfect) imperfections, so I prefer one of the other two primers for my base.
BB Cream Primer
I do enjoy this primer because it works really well with my Ready Foundation as well as other brand foundations without making your foundation look overpowering.
This does feel very similar to the original formula as it is thicker and sets on the skin pretty quickly, and it still smooths out your skin to a similar standard.
I love using this on days where I don't want a heavy duty makeup look. On good skin days I have gotten away with wearing this on it's own! It will hide some red patches, but it doesn't give enough coverage to cover the more angrier blemishes; but then that's where our concealers come to the rescue!
Neutralising Primer
Is it that it covers red areas brilliantly?
No.
Is it that it feels like a moisturiser?
No.
The reason I love this primer so much can be put into one word. Baileys.
No I do not have a drinking problem, but I love the smell of Baileys and I just love smelling this primer as it is applied to my face. I really don't think it was the main goal of Bare Minerals to design a neutralising primer that smelled of Baileys for one very random blogger, but they made it smell like this anyway!
Okay, this primer does have other benefits other than it's smell! It does a great job at hiding all those red blemishes and leaves a very fresh glow to the skin. It does have an olier finish to the other two primers, so if you don't want to wait for this one to settle on the skin, use a hint of powder before you apply your foundation. Ready foundations hate moisture, so always make sure you apply it to dry skin.
Thanks for the continued support.
Bye for now!
